AJM Choice marks Armed Forces Week following AJM Healthcare Bronze Award

AJM Choice marks Armed Forces Week following AJM Healthcare Bronze Award

AJM Choice, the private mobility division of specialist wheelchair and mobility services provider AJM Healthcare, is proud to be included under the organisation’s Bronze Award from the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.

The recognition comes as AJM Choice marks Armed Forces Week, which culminates in Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June 2026.

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme recognises organisations that pledge, demonstrate and advocate support for Defence and the Armed Forces community. AJM Healthcare’s Bronze Award acknowledges the organisation’s commitment to those who serve, have served and support the Armed Forces.

As part of AJM Healthcare, AJM Choice shares this commitment and the responsibility to translate it into meaningful action.

AJM has supported several major national commemorations and events by providing wheelchairs to help veterans and visitors participate with greater comfort and independence.

This has included support for the VE Day 80 commemorations in London, the annual Remembrance Sunday parade at the Cenotaph and the VJ Day 80 commemorations at the National Memorial Arboretum, where over 200 wheelchairs were made available for veterans with limited mobility.

These initiatives reflect AJM’s wider purpose of improving access and enabling people to participate fully in the occasions, activities and communities that matter to them.

Jeremy Garman, Director of Private Pay at AJM Healthcare and a veteran himself, said: “Receiving the Bronze Award is an important recognition of our commitment to the Armed Forces community. Supporting those who serve, those who have served and their families is both a privilege and a responsibility we take seriously.

“We are proud of the practical support our teams have provided at national commemorative events, and we will continue looking for meaningful ways to build on this commitment.”

Armed Forces Day provides an opportunity for communities across the UK to recognise the contribution made by serving personnel, veterans, reservists, cadets and Armed Forces families.

The Bronze Award is an important milestone for AJM Healthcare and its divisions, but the commitment behind it extends far beyond one award or one week.

AJM Choice will continue to support the wider organisation’s commitment to the Armed Forces community, helping people access the mobility support they need to participate with greater freedom, confidence and independence.
