AJM Choice sponsors sold-out screening of inspirational RockClimber film

A packed audience filled Northampton’s Royal & Derngate Theatre on 21 August for the first public screening of RockClimber, a moving documentary that charts army veteran and disability advocate Nick Wilson’s mission to scale Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) using a specially engineered wheelchair.

The screening, sponsored by tailored mobility solutions provider AJM Choice, brought Nick’s story to a wider audience following its private debut at Silverstone.

The film follows Nick, known as The Disabled Adventurer, as he collaborates with a team of ex-Formula 1 engineers to design and build an innovative mobility solution capable of tackling one of the UK’s most iconic peaks.

Reflecting on the event, Nick said: “RockClimber isn’t just about reaching the top of Snowdon, it’s about pushing boundaries, challenging perceptions and proving that disability doesn’t have to limit adventure.

“Seeing the film welcomed so warmly by a full theatre is an incredible milestone, and I’m hugely grateful to AJM Choice for their support in making this possible.”

Jeremy Garman, Director of AJM Choice, added: “Nick’s journey shows the true power of resilience, innovation and community. As a business dedicated to improving mobility and independence, we’re proud to have sponsored this screening and to help share a story that will inspire so many.”

In addition to the screening, the sold-out audience were also treated to a fireside chat between Nick and special guest Peter Keil. Peter spoke movingly about his son Jude, 13, who became ill and spent a year in hospital.

Jude is now on a ventilator and in a wheelchair with minimal movement, but Peter and his family are not letting this stop them or Jude from enjoying outdoor adventure as part of Jude’s rehabilitation.

The sold-out audience response underlined the growing appetite for stories of determination and inclusion. For AJM Choice, a longstanding supporter of the Armed Forces Covenant and one of the UK’s leading mobility service providers, the partnership with Nick reflects its continued commitment to accessibility and the veteran community.
