AJM Choice supports veterans at Remembrance Day celebrations with 165 new wheelchairs
AJM Choice, the private mobility division of AJM Healthcare and a trusted provider of personalised mobility support, has continued its support of the Royal British Legion’s commemorative events by providing 165 brand new wheelchairs free of charge for veterans attending this year’s national Remembrance Day service at the Cenotaph in London.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that AJM has supported the Royal British Legion, supplying mobility equipment to ensure that every veteran who wishes to take part in the commemorations can do so in comfort and dignity.
Jeremy Garman, Director at AJM Choice: “It is an honour to support those who have served our country by helping make national commemorations accessible to all. Many of our team members, including several veterans, take great personal pride in being part of these events.
“Providing the right mobility support is a small but important way of saying thank you, while ensuring that every veteran can take part in remembrance with comfort, independence and respect.”
Earlier this year, AJM also provided wheelchairs for the VE80 commemorations in London and the VJ80 commemorations at the National Memorial Arboretum, further demonstrating its ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and the Armed Forces community.
All the wheelchairs provided for these events are brand new and, following each occasion, are put into service across the 14 wheelchair services that AJM Healthcare operates on behalf of the NHS throughout England, extending their benefit well beyond the commemorations themselves.
As an active supporter of the Armed Forces and a proud signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, AJM Healthcare employs a number of veterans and works closely with military charities and organisations to provide mobility equipment and support for former and active service personnel across the UK.
