Success of AJM Choice and RGK Wheelchairs webinar series highlights industry’s desire for collaboration
AJM Choice, the private mobility division of AJM Healthcare, has launched its new Lunch & Learn webinar series in partnership with RGK Wheelchairs, with the first session drawing strong attendance from occupational therapists, physiotherapists and wheelchair service professionals across the UK.
The opening webinar, Efficiency in Motion, brought together clinical reasoning from Michaela White, Occupational Therapist and Clinical Specialist at AJM Choice, and lived experience from two members of the RGK team: Martin Dougan, broadcaster, former Scotland wheelchair basketball and rugby player, and Sales Associate at RGK Wheelchairs, and Lee Fawcett, an experienced RGK prescriber and wheelchair user. Both Martin and Lee offered valuable, experience-led perspectives alongside Michaela’s clinical guidance.
Attendees praised the session’s clear, practical guidance on propulsion, transfers and the use of power add-ons to support everyday function.
Michaela White said: “We are committed to creating spaces for meaningful clinical learning. Combining specialist insight with user experience allows us to support professionals in a more rounded, practical way. It strengthens understanding and, most importantly, improves outcomes for the individuals we serve.”
The positive reception and high attendance also reflect a wider shift within the sector. Clinicians, suppliers, and specialists are increasingly seeking opportunities to learn together, share perspectives and strengthen the continuity between clinical practice and lived experience.
The strong engagement with this first session shows a clear appetite for collaboration across the industry and reinforces the value of bringing different professional and personal viewpoints into a shared learning space.
Martin Dougan added: “Sharing knowledge in this way benefits everyone involved in wheelchair provision. We are looking forward to continuing the series and supporting clinicians with practical tools they can apply straight away.”
